Top tips for better meetings

Don't avoid the elephant in the room! Have the courage to tackle difficult issues otherwise decisions risk coming unstuck after a meeting.
Accept that people will be in different places as a group goes through change. Allow time for people to share different positions so you take them with you.
Think about energy as you plan your agenda – give a variety of formats and allow plenty of breaks. Keep people active around lunchtime.
To enable informed decisions, be prepared to 'go slow to go fast'. Allow time for sharing context and perspectives before discussing solutions.
