Meeting Magic facilitates audience debate at FT Innovate 2011

21st October 2011

For the second consecutive year, Meeting Magic will support FT Innovate 2011, a Financial Times conference. The conference theme is ‘Unlocking new markets through social media and reverse innovation.’

Meeting Magic will facilitate a two hour audience debate on the second day of the conference. The session will follow a ‘world café’ format; delegates sit or stand around small round tables recording discussions and insights directly onto tablecloths. After an allotted time each group moves to another table, leaving one individual at each table to ensure flow of discussion.

Michaela Ridgway, Senior Content Editor, Financial Times Conferences, comments, “I am delighted to be working with Meeting Magic once again. The ‘world café’ approach presents an opportunity for the audience to work and think in a different way. Our objective is to create a stimulating environment which will encourage the audience to reflect, discuss and generate ideas.”

Katherine Woods, founder of Meeting Magic, comments “having successfully run this style of event in the past, we know its’ fast pace and interactive methods encourage creativity and open discussion. The cafe style will enable participants, from a broad range of organisations to come together and discuss common challenges.”

The event has a track record of attracting close to 200 senior executives, each responsible for driving innovation in their companies. This year’s event is being held at the ANdAZ Hotel in London on 9th and 10th November.
